Melt-and-pour soap is the gentlest way into making: no lye, no curing weeks, no fear. Melt the base, add colour and a few drops of fragrance, pour into a mould and let it set. An hour later you are unmoulding shells, fruit and little sea creatures — and wrapping them as gifts.
Melt-and-pour, explained
The soap base arrives ready-made and skin-safe. You melt it gently, stir in soap colour and fragrance, and pour. It sets at room temperature and can be used the same day.
Two tips that make it look professional: pour just below boiling so the surface stays glossy, and spray the top with a little alcohol to burst the bubbles right after pouring.
